The Backyard School is a family style child care program that is all about child-led learning in a natural environment all day, everyday. We believe that Forest Kindergarten’s child-led, nature based approach to Early Childhood Education offers enormous advantages for cognitive, emotional and physical development. Children are encouraged along their natural development path, to flourish with self-esteem, respect for others, respect for the environment and to embrace the values and attitudes that define a good global citizen. If children feel heard and valued as people based on our interactions with them, they will naturally learn respect for others.
