Did you know there’s a big difference between a corporate childcare center and a community-led, non-profit preschool? ❤️
When you’re looking at early education options here in Port Coquitlam, the choices can feel overwhelming. But choosing a non-profit preschool means choosing a completely unique structure—one where your family is at the very heart of everything we do.
At PoCo Happy Times Preschool, this isn't a new philosophy for us. We have been proudly serving families in the Tri-Cities for 53 years! 🌟
We weren't built by a corporation; we were founded right here in 1973 by local PoCo parents, built from the ground up with the helping hands of our amazing community.
Five decades later, that grassroots, non-profit spirit is still exactly what makes us special:
✨ 100% Reinvested in Your Kids: We don't have corporate owners or shareholders. Every single dollar from tuition, government subsidies, and fundraising goes directly back into our classroom. It funds high-quality learning materials, beautiful sensory setups, and top-tier resources for our kids.
👩🏫 A Legacy of Dedicated Educators: Because our budget focuses entirely on the classroom and community, we prioritize deeply supporting our wonderful Early Childhood Educators (ECEs). This means incredible stability for your child and a team that truly feels like extended family.
🤝 Still Run By Parents, For Parents: Just like the day our doors opened 53 years ago, we are operated by a volunteer board of local parents. You aren't just dropping your child off at a service—you are joining a historic Tri-Cities village where generations of local children have taken their very first steps into learning.
We are so incredibly proud of our 53-year history in Port Coquitlam, and we love keeping early education accessible, high-quality, and deeply personal. 🏔️✨
