Speech is more important in the earlier years than most parents think.
Speech delays can cause a lack of confidence and lack of social interactions that can lead to behavioural issues. It’s better to get your child assessed earlier than waiting until after age 5, so that bad speech habits can be addressed and worked on. www.socialworkerstoolbox.com

Finished our week of creativity and imagination with painting our clay creations, eating s’mores and making wands. This last upcoming week of summer camp is all about STEM!

And the fun has begun….haircuts, dress shop, cafe are just some of the fun this week. Make and take wands and a clay creature-last day the special treat will be s’mores and the kids CANNOT wait!
A little imagination goes a long ways. Week #3 of summer camp is all about using our imaginations and creating. I love to hear children role play-it is the best way to practice and build communication skills!

Week 2 wrapped up with arts and crafts. Next week will be all about imagination! Can’t wait to see what we capture-I hear there will be a haircut shop!
