8 Reasons to Choose Singapore Math for Canadian Students

1️⃣ Fully Aligned with the Canadian Curriculum
Covers all required grade-level topics while teaching them in a clearer, more structured way.

2️⃣ Focuses on Deep Understanding, Not Memorization
Students learn why math works, not just how to apply formulas.

3️⃣ Builds Strong Problem-Solving Skills
Emphasizes logical thinking, multi-step reasoning, and real-world applications.

4️⃣ Develops Mathematical Confidence
Clear strategies and visual models help students become confident, independent learners.

5️⃣ Uses the Concrete–Pictorial–Abstract (CPA) Approach
Hands-on learning transitions naturally into visual and abstract understanding.

6️⃣ Works Exceptionally Well for Both Extra Support and Enrichment
Adapts to students who need reinforcement as well as those seeking advanced challenges.

7️⃣ Prepares Students for Advanced Math
Strong foundations make algebra, fractions, and higher-level math easier later on.

8️⃣ Proven Worldwide and Trusted by Educators
Used internationally with consistently strong academic outcomes.

🧑‍🎓📚Today is a truly special day for our entire Solvedia community.
Today, we celebrate the hard work, dedication, and outstanding achievements of our students who took part in this year’s Mathematica.ca Canadian Math Contests.

As many of you know, the Mathematica contests are among Canada’s longest-running and most highly respected math competitions for Grades 3–9. Every year, tens of thousands of students nationwide tackle challenging, creative, and deeply engaging problems that build logical thinking and real mathematical understanding.

This year, more than 40,000 students across Canada participated — and our Solvedia students delivered exceptional results.

✨ We are thrilled to announce that Solvedia Learning Centre has been named the Provincial Champion School for the 2025 Grade 4 Byron-Germain Contest!
Among all schools in British Columbia, our students achieved the highest combined score — a remarkable accomplishment and a moment of pride for all of us.

And there’s even more to celebrate:

🎉 Two Canadian Champions — ranked #1 in the entire country.
🎉 Two Provincial Champions — the top performers in all of BC.
🎉 And many students who scored far above the national average and earned a place on the Honour Roll.

Every student who participated demonstrated courage, persistence, and a willingness to take on a real challenge. These contests are not easy — they demand focus, resilience, and a love of problem-solving. By showing up and giving your best, you’ve all taken an important step toward becoming stronger thinkers.
