For the past 7 years, I’ve had the privilege of operating **Happy Hearts Forest School**, a daycare and school here in Port Colborne. As we move on to new opportunities, we’ve made the decision to sell our home and the attached commercial building.

Dear Forest School Families,

It is with mixed emotions that we share the news that our beloved Forest School will be closing its doors at the end of this semester, during the upcoming Christmas break in late December. This decision has not come easily, as every moment spent with your children has been an incredible journey, full of wonder, growth, and deep connections. Introducing the forest-based, experiential method of teaching to Southern Niagara has been one of the greatest joys of our lives, and we have loved every minute of it.

We are immensely proud of the community we have built together, fostering curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of nature in your children. However, as our family embarks on an exciting new chapter with a move to a new home in the north, we will no longer be offering the private school program. This decision comes with the hope that the skills, confidence, and independence your children have gained here will serve them well in all their future endeavors.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for trusting us with the education and growth of your children. It has been an honor to play a part in their development, and we are confident that the foundation laid here will continue to set them up for success.

Thank you for being part of this incredible adventure. We wish you and your families all the best in the future and hope that the spirit of the forest continues to inspire and guide you.
