🏀🎭🎨 Did you know? The After School Sports and Arts Initiative (ASSAI) helps create free after-school opportunities for K-8 students in Port Alberni, while also supporting larger events and jamborees that bring students together from schools across the district.

ASSAI activities include cross country, wrestling, choir, gardening, biking, D&D, musical theatre, and more!

Whether it’s trying something new, discovering an interest, building skills, or spending time with friends, ASSAI is all about creating more opportunities for students to participate.

On Friday, October 2, we celebrate National Custodian Day to recognize and thank the incredible members of our custodial and maintenance teams.
Every single day, these dedicated staff members work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our buildings clean, safe, and running smoothly. From bright and early in the morning until late at night, their hard work ensures a healthy and welcoming environment for everyone in our community.
Our facilities wouldn't be the same without their constant care, problem-solving skills, and commitment. Please join us in giving a huge thank you to our custodial and maintenance heroes for everything they do!
