Our Grade 6/7 class put their Temperature and Particles unit into action today by building their own solar ovens. Students got hands-on with thermal energy transfer and particle expansion, using the power of the sun to melt marshmallows to make s'mores! A huge shoutout to Perry's 2 for 1 Pizza and Pasta for generously donating the pizza boxes for this project.

September 25th at 1:15, our students and staff and any family members that are open to joining us for the afternoon, will be participating in the Terry Fox Run to raise funds for the Terry Fox Foundation .
Like in the past, we will also be having our Bake Sale on this day as well.
If you plan to be here, then make sure you check out the table of goodies. Even if you are looking for something as you drive by, stop in and support the kids and their fundraising. There will be lots of great items to take care of your harvest desserts if you are looking for ideas :)

I have included the link for donations if you would like to donate online in support of the Terry Fox Foundation.

We are going to have to postpone the delivery date as the corn is just not ripening. It has just been so cool and cloudy the last few weeks that it hasn't filled out and sweetened up yet. The coming week is looking like promising weather, so I will be in touch as soon as we feel it is ready for picking! I am sorry to have to delay the delivery, but we sure don't want to deliver sub-par corn! 😊
