Reconciliation at Ponoka Elementary and Wolf Creek Public Schools extends far beyond Orange Shirt Day

Here is how we invite you in making a difference:

Learn Together: Take time to explore Canadian history, listen to Indigenous storytellers, and uplift Indigenous voices in your community.

Take Action: Support the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action in small, meaningful ways every week.

Keep the Heart Open: Bring empathy, respect, and active allyship into your everyday conversations.

"Reconciliation is a journey best shared," explains WCPS Indigenous Education and Reconciliation Director Shelagh Hagemann.

"Whether you start by reading a book, attending an event, or starting a conversation, your voice and heart belong in this movement."

How are you honoring treaty relationships on Orange Shirt Day and every day in your community?
