Students in our Residential & Commercial Drafting program (DR250318) are currently working through Module 24: Producing Commercial Building Plans and taking their learning to the next level! This week, they’ve been exploring barrier-free design (formerly known as handicap accessibility), gaining a deeper understanding of how inclusive spaces are created in accordance with the National Building Code. One student even brought in a wheelchair as a prop—talk about hands-on learning!👏

Experiences like this help students truly visualize and appreciate why accessible features, especially in washroom design, are so important.
