Clearpoint Elementary IB World School

Last Thursday, Clearpoint H&S Association hosted our annual End of Year Party. Despite the initial downpour, the parent community still came out to celebrate the end of the school year! Throughout the evening, the Old’s Cool Band (formerly known as Dad to the Bone) entertained the crowd with amazing talent and great energy! A big thank you to the H&S organizing committee for making this event happen. Shout out to the entire H&S Association for all they have done and contributed to Clearpoint throughout the school year! 💕

Mr. Sam Ojeda, Yoreme and Hawk clan, visited Clearpoint last Wednesday and taught students about his identity and culture. During his presentations he shared a ceremonial dance alongside the children, highlighting the significance of their bond with the land and nature. He also shared some words from his own Indigenous language, stories and symbols from his culture and a powerful flute song.

We are thrilled to announce that Clearpoint Elementary School has placed 13 of "Top 50 Quebec Terry Fox Fundraisers of 2025”

A huge congratulations to all of our Grade 4, 5, and 6 students who participated in the LBPSB Track & Field events today! ☀️🏃‍♂️🏅

From javelin throwing to the 800-metre races, our Clearpoint students gave it their all and brought home many ribbons throughout the day. We are so proud of the effort, dedication, and preparation each student showed leading up to the events, as well as the sportsmanship and determination they displayed today.

Today, Clearpoint Elementary had the pleasure of welcoming Kirsten Fox, the niece of Terry Fox, as a surprise guest speaker! The Terry Fox Foundation reached out to us in recognition of our fundraising efforts and generously gifted us this special visit.

Kirsten’s stories about her Uncle Terry were both informative and deeply touching. She continues to carry forward his powerful message that “anything is possible if you try.”

Enjoy a one-hour, all-ages concert in a relaxed and welcoming setting, featuring two outstanding professional musicians. This pay-as-you-can event is perfect for seasoned music lovers and curious first-time listeners alike.

The program explores Mozart’s fascinating “musical twins,” with performers guiding the audience through what to listen for and how the pieces differ, making classical music engaging, accessible, and fun for everyone.

Families, friends, and colleagues are all welcome for an inspiring evening of music and discovery!

Congratulations to all of our runners from Grades 3 to 6 who competed in today’s Halo Race at Mont Royal! Rain or shine, these athletes trained hard for this day, and we couldn’t be more proud of everyone’s effort and determination. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️👏

Good luck to the 37 students from Grades 4–6 representing our school today in the Mathematica Centrum competition!

This contest challenge students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and strengthen their mathematical skills alongside students from across Canada and the United States. We are so proud of our young mathematicians for taking on this exciting challenge and wish them the very best today!
