Participation vs. Presence

Physically being in a room isn’t the same as being included.

If the air is unsafe for people with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), participation is limited.

True inclusion means everyone can be present, fully and safely.

Safe air is the use of products free of fragrances, with the lowest VOC emissions and the least toxic.

Wow, it looks like North America is on fire! We have what looks like "fog" but nothing like what Manitoba is experiencing for air quality! Air filters help and so does misting (to settle out particles). Another good reason to run through sprinklers! 😄

More evidence. How much evidence do we need?

Published in eBiomedicine a study shows an increase of premature cardiovascular deaths in people 55-64 due to one kind of phalate (DEHP). CNN and other new outlets have summaries.

I feel we should be much more vigilant and advocate for change. Hhow long will we accept "breakfast included" when it is like my photo above?

They suugest:
"▪︎ Avoid plastics as much as you can.
▪︎ Reducing your use of ultraprocessed foods...
▪︎ Never put plastic containers in the microwave or dishwasher,
▪︎ Use unscented lotions and laundry detergents.
▪︎ Use cleaning supplies without scents.
▪︎ Use glass, stainless steel, ceramic or wood to hold and store foods.
▪︎ Buy fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables instead of canned and processed versions.
▪︎ Encourage frequent handwashing to remove chemicals from hands.
▪︎ Avoid air fresheners and
▪︎ [Avoid] all plastics labeled as No. 3, No. 6 and No. 7."
