Fun Fact!

Did you know that chewing slowly helps your tongue notice all the flavors in your food? When you take your time, you can taste sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and umami more fully.

Slow chewing also helps your tummy feel satisfied and makes eating a fun, mindful experience!

Please continue to ensure your child has weather-appropriate clothing. Don’t forget to keep extra labelled clothes in their cubbies!

Also, please take your child’s jacket, toque, and Muddy Buddy home each Friday to wash and return for the following week.

Programs Offered at Best Friends Childcare Centre

Infant & Toddler (12 months – 3 years)
A safe, cozy space for our youngest learners, featuring age-appropriate toys, storytime, and play-based learning. Children build social and cognitive skills through one-on-one interactions and group activities. 🍼✨

3–5 Years
Our daycare program encourages cognitive and social development through Learning Centres, including library, math, science, sensory, dramatic play, and creative arts. Outdoor play, group activities, nap time, and storytime are included. Registration is continuous. 🌟📚

School-Age (Grade 2–4)
Before and after school care with guided and free activities, arts, crafts, board games, and more. Transportation to/from school is provided. Additional programs available during PD days, Spring, and Summer Break. Registration required yearly. 🎨🏫

This month, our themes are The Five Senses and Healthy Bodies!

Children will explore how their senses help them understand the world around them, discover healthy eating habits, and enjoy fun movement activities, including yoga, to keep their bodies strong, active, and energized.

Here’s to a fresh start and a month full of learning, wellness, and curiosity!
