The room has been electric lately, and with our new dojo on the way, the energy is only climbing. Every class we run now is building the foundation for what’s coming next. We’re growing, we’re leveling up, and we want you on the mats with us as part of that momentum.
Come train. Come sweat. Come be part of the community that’s about to step into a brand‑new home.

Alyssa’s story is one that stays with you. She started training at West Island Jiu‑Jitsu when she was just four years old. A tiny gi, big dreams, and a determination that grew every single year she stepped onto the mats.
Last Tuesday, she faced the hardest test of her life.
No drills. No breaks.
Just ten rounds of two‑minute rolls, each one against opponents who were bigger, stronger, and more skilled. She didn’t back down once. She fought through every round with heart, composure, and grit. That’s what earned her blue belt — becoming the first girl from our kids’ program to make the jump into the adult ranks.
Her journey is a reminder to every kid, every parent, every student:
Consistency builds confidence.
Effort builds strength.
Courage builds champions.
When you watch Alyssa train, you see someone who refused to quit — even when she was the smallest in the room, even when the path was long. She’s become a role model for every young student who dreams of achieving something big.
Tonight, let her story fuel you.
Show up.
Work hard.
Believe in yourself.
Your breakthrough might be closer than you think.
Kids classes tonight:
Ages 7–9: 5:15–6:15
Ages 10–14: 6:15–7:15
Coach Gab teaches at 7:15 PM.
Get your ass on the mat.🔥🔥
A place you know…
but not like this.
Big move loading… soon‑ish.
Tonight — 7:15pm — No‑Gi Wrestling with Coach Vince.
Always fun rolling on these mats. The more you learn, the more you realize how much there still is to master. That’s the beauty of jiu‑jitsu — endless growth, endless lessons.
See you on the mats tonight 🥋🔥

At 16 years old, young Nick is stepping into one of the biggest chapters of his life — Canadian Army basic training. Before he leaves, we’re giving him something he earned through years of sweat, discipline, and heart: his blue belt.
Nick walked into West Island Jiu-Jitsu at 12 years old — a shy kid with big dreams. Today he stands as a strong young man, a solid human being, and a dangerous jiujitsu player built from thousands of reps, hard rounds, and showing up even when it wasn’t easy.
Parents don’t always see the value of jiujitsu right away. It’s not instant. It’s not flashy. It’s not a quick fix.
But if your child trains long enough, something powerful happens.
They learn discipline.
They learn resilience.
They learn how to stay calm under pressure.
They learn respect — for themselves and for others.
They grow into someone you’re proud to raise.
As one of Joe Rogan’s instructors once told him:
“Martial arts is a vehicle for developing your human potential.”
Nick is living proof of that truth.
If you want your child in an environment that builds confidence, character, and real-life strength, this is the room.
Kids 7–9: 5:15–6:15 PM
Kids 10–14: 6:15–7:15 PM
