When your principal is a man of his word.
Today, Mr Benn showed up to school with a pink beard! This after he promised to do so if we met our financial goal for our All Hands & Hearts fundraiser. The students loved it!

A special day for the students in Mme Marlee’s class today. This morning they enjoyed a sweet treat after their walk, and then spent the afternoon reading outdoors. 🧋📚☀️

Ms. Dara visited Mme Michaels’ Kindergarten class this morning for some fairytale yoga. 🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️
She sprinkled fairy dust on the students, and took them on an adventure in the enchanted forest where they met all the characters from the fairy tales they’ve read. 🧚‍♀️ What a magical morning! ✨

This morning, Beechwood’s graduating class took part in a special ceremony to honour their legacy and the impact they have on the world around them. Sam Ojeda, indigenous elder and LBPSB partner, facilitated this ceremony by speaking to the students about the importance of taking care of our Earth. The ceremony also concluded with a great circle around the newly planted tree where students and staff danced to give thanks and honour the mark they are leaving on Beechwood. 🪾💚💙

Mme Michaels’ Kindergarten class had a sweet time baking strawberry muffins during their fairytale unit! 🍓🧁 Just like Little Red Riding Hood bringing treats to her grandma, our little bakers were excited to take their yummy muffins home to their families. A magical day full of learning, baking, and fairytale fun! ❤️
