To CNMS parents and community. The school will remain closed for the rest of the week. This is in respect to our elder, our teacher, and mamma bear 'Joey'. She has worked at the school for many years. Where she welcomed everyone as her family. She was a great teacher to all students. She will be truly missed. The staff of CNMS sends out their sincere condolences to the family. RIP 'Joey' Francis Kahpeepatow ❤️🙏

Today, our school community came together for our school-wide Orange Shirt Day Walk to honour survivors, remember the children who never made it home, and recognize that Every Child Matters. Kisêwâtisiwin – Leading with Heart: We walk together to strengthen our connections, continue to learn, and grow together as a school and community.

Following the walk, everyone gathered for a BBQ lunch provided by Napesis Health Center and soup and bannock prepared by Julieann and Miranda.

A heartfelt thank you to our Elders, drummers, RCMP leading the walk, Fire Department, Napesis Health Center, organizers, cooks, staff, students, and community members who helped make this a meaningful day.

Congratulations to the coloring contest winners!
