The month of June is . This month, we in Catholic Education, recognize both The Sacred Heart of Jesus and Pride month concurrently. As such, the ALCDSB has a beautiful opportunity to celebrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and compassionate love for all with distinctively Catholic language and a faith-based perspective. Read more in a message from David DeSantis, Director of Education for the ALCDSB. https://bit.ly/3Naowei

By displaying the flag and having conversations, we communicate these ideals in solidarity, and acknowledge that all families are centered around love. We also acknowledge the importance of students and families seeing visual representations of the flag in our schools.

We are beyond blessed to have families, students and staff who identify as 2SLGBTQQAI in our schools and in our communities. It is important for all members of our ALCDSB family to know and feel that they are welcomed, loved and successful as they authentically are, made in the image and likeness of God.

This month, and each and every month, our Catholic schools are committed to nurturing safe and inclusive learning environments where every student and every member of the community is welcomed, valued, and respected. All are truly welcome in this place.
