Hello Everyone!

While I simply cannot believe that summer has already come to an end, I am very happy to announce that registration for our upcoming dragon boat camps is officially OPEN!

Space Coast Dragon Boat Camp, formerly Bow Wave Camp, will be returning to the Banana River in April of 2027. We have been lucky enough to continue this camp after Jim Farintosh put over 20 years building it; it's an honour to step into his (very large) shoes! We have fallen in love with the paddling location just as he did, and we absolutely cherish the connections we have made with new paddlers and dragon boat teams across North America. We would REALLY love to have you and your teammates join us this April.

April 18th - 24th, 2027

The Pickering Race Camp will also be returning to Frenchman's Bay, in Pickering, Ontario, next June. Jim created this camp as well, and after 4 wonderful years of its existence, we are thrilled to be bringing it back in 2027. If you want a new camp experience that culminates with a day of racing at the annual Pickering Dragon Boat Festival, this is the place for you!

Alkame has had a fleet of Kahlua's for over 15 years, and while they are the BEST dragon boat, they were starting to show their age. Chipping paint, broken seats, peeling fiberglass, you name it.

The super team, Faye & Justin Baisley, came to our rescue this summer and restored these old beasties back to their original condition. It's not an easy job, especially when you don't have a 50 foot warehouse to work in.

🙏 Many thanks for their hard work and these incredible results! We'll wait until next summer to tackle the next 8 😅

Last chance to take a Safe Steering course with us in 2026!

Join facilitator, Nikola Radovanovic, for the Dragon Boat Canada Safe Steering Accreditation course on Frenchman's Bay:

Saturday, October 10th, 2026
9:00am - 6:00pm
$275 + HST

This is an intensive, day-long course that will teach, train and test you all in one day. We highly recommend you come to this course with some previous experience and knowledge, but all levels are welcome. Space is extremely limited!
