Thanks for considering MYC for you and your children. If you climb on board I promise lots of fun and lots of learning!! My musical education began at age 8. I have completed my Gr. 8 piano Western Conservatory, and Gr. III Harmony Royal Conservatory. My father was a High School Music Teacher for 23 years, I have learned tons from him!!! I worked full/part time for Long & McQuade Musical Instruments for approx. 12 years, working in the Band Department. My husband Garry currently runs Gazebo Music www.gazebo-music.ca, where he repairs Musical Instruments i.e. Saxophones, Clarinets, flutes etc. I have thought about teaching piano lessons for a long time and I love children and being with them (I have 2 fantastic girls of my own) so after hearing about MYC, I decided to look into it further. I know of many different approaches to the teaching of Music and Piano and I see why MYC is so exciting and different from any other approach I have heard about. I am thrilled with their curriculum! The focus truly is on the children and how they learn music, each group being age specific and researched to the highest degree so that each child has a well rounded and happy experience exploring the world of music. This approach if they stick with it, will serve them well as they grow, a strong foundation that helps to build confidence and self-esteem in many ways, not just Music!! This is a plus for hard working parents and their very tight shedules!! and they get to learn music with their kids!! I can't wait to meet you if you decide this could be just the ticket for you and your child! I am going to create an atmosphere that will have the children enthusiastic and jumping out of the car to get to the next lesson!!! At the moment I am working on the studio and will have pictures very soon!! Please get in touch with me - located in Pickering, Whites and Finch call - 905-420-6597 - I can give you more details. Registration Fees and Materials Fees are located in Find Out The Cost section. Good Luck with your decision making and I look forward to meeting you!! I also would like to mention I have a Kitty Cat, her name is Mazy. She stays away from our classes so she doesn't disrupt us, but if you have allergies she may set them off!! Lets Make Music!!!!!
