It was such a special moment seeing these young authors recognized for their creativity and hard work as they received their certificates and their very own published copy of the book featuring their stories!

Fun Fact Friday!

Did you know that the graphite in an average pencil can write a line about 35 miles long?

That's roughly the length of 130 football fields.

It's pretty amazing to think about how much writing is packed into one little pencil. Proof that great things can come in small packages!

New Grade. New Goals.

A new school year is an exciting opportunity for students to learn, grow, and challenge themselves.

Maybe it's improving in math and reading, staying organized, or something else. Or simply believing in yourself a little more.

Whatever the goal, Scholars is here to help students build the skills and support they need to make this a memorable and productive year.

Fun Fact Friday!

📚 One of the world's oldest surviving literary works is thousands of years old!

The Epic of Gilgamesh dates back more than 4,000 years (around 2100 BCE) and tells the story of a legendary king and his adventures. It was written on clay tablets in ancient Mesopotamia, a historical region of West Asia.

From clay tablets to paperbacks to audiobooks, storytelling has been helping people learn, imagine, and connect for thousands of years.

This could be the year your child discovers the fun, interactive world of STEM.

At Scholars, our STEM program gives students a hands on way to explore science, technology, engineering, and math while building skills that complement what they're learning in school.

They'll ask questions, solve problems, build, create, and learn by doing, all while developing a strong foundation for the future.

Give your child a chance to discover what they're capable of with STEM at Scholars.

Business Day is here! All summer long, our campers have been creating their own products—from bracelets and bookmarks to painted rocks and so much more! Now, it’s time to take on the role of young entrepreneurs.

Today, they’re practicing important financial literacy skills by pricing their products, making sales, handling money, and learning the basics of running a business—all while raising money for our local food bank! We’re so proud to see their creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial skills come together for a great cause!

This student has been working hard on her phonics and blending skills, and we’re so proud to see her beginning to read CVC words independently! 📚 Every new word is a step toward becoming a confident reader!

Science in action at summer camp! Our campers had so much fun making Oobleck and discovering its unique properties. Is it a liquid or a solid? They explored how it can behave like both depending on how it’s handled!

It was a fun way to explore a surprising science concept and see the results for themselves! 🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬

08/24/2026

Our campers became secret-message detectives with our Invisible Ink Experiment! They used a mixture of baking soda and water to write invisible messages, then painted over them with a turmeric and sanitizer mixture to reveal their hidden messages!

Campers also learned about the science behind the colour-changing reaction while practicing how to record the steps of their experiment.
