Good morning, Panther families,

Athletics
Senior boys’ soccer team have two home games next week on Sept 22 and Sept 24 at 5pm.
Senior girls’ soccer team play at home on Sept 23 at 5 pm.
Middle school girls’ soccer team play at home on Sept 24 at 3:30.
Middle school boys’ soccer team play at home on Sept 21 at 3:30 pm.

Allergies
Due to severe allergies among students/staff at PRS, the following items are not permitted at school:
Peanut and tree nuts
Citrus fruit peel: an already peeled orange or clementine is acceptable
Products containing latex
Petitcodiac Regional School values the health of its students and staff and is committed to providing a scent reduced environment to reduce the impact on those with allergies. To maintain this environment, we ask that students, staff and visitors avoid the use of fragrances and perfumed personal care products while on school property.

Lunch Program Reminders
Remember to create your online ordering accounts here: https://www.chartwellsk12.ca. Make sure you enter your student's grade and homeroom teacher, if available.
Chartwell's current ordering deadline is set at 8AM the previous day, unless you are ordering for Monday, in which case the cut-off is Friday 8AM.

Terry Fox Fundraising
In 1980 Terry showed us what courage, compassion and determination look like. Today that example is needed more than ever and we are inspired to join 4,000,000 Canadian students who are leading the way. By fundraising for innovative research our school community is literally changing the lives of Canadians facing cancer. Terry started a marathon against cancer and together, we can “Finish It”.

School SPIRIT Challenge This Friday!

Attention, Panthers! 🐾
Welcome Back to the 2026-2027 School Year!
In celebration of our first week back, we’re kicking off the weekend with a SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY this Friday, September 11th!
We want to see EVERYONE from K–12 showing their Panther pride!
We’re challenging our entire school community to create a SEA OF BURGUNDY AND GOLD! ❤️💛
But this is about more than just wearing school colours.
School spirit is about belonging. It’s about coming together. It’s about showing one another that we are part of something bigger than ourselves.
Every one of us has a responsibility to help make our school a place where people feel safe, welcomed, respected, and cared for. And sometimes, something as simple as putting on your school colours can send a powerful message:
“I belong here. I’m proud to be a Panther. And I’m part of this community.”

Good morning Panther families,

We hope everyone is enjoying and benefitting from the beautiful summer we are having, and we look forward to our students walking through our doors next week.



Meet the Teacher

We tried something new last year for “Meet the teacher”, and since it was such a great success, we have decided to follow a similar format again this year. It will take place tomorrow, Wednesday September 2 from 5:30-7:00pm, coinciding with the Community of Three Rivers Summer Send Off. We are hoping this will help reduce anxiety for students on the first day of school as they will get a chance to meet their teacher(s) before school starts.

Fun Yard Games

With the construction that has been taking place at our school over the summer, the school is currently not accessible, which means this event will take place outdoors behind the gym and on our main soccer field. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to improve our school.



PSSC

At the start of each school year, we reach out looking for parents to join our Parent School Support Committee (6-12 members); if you are interested in joining, simply send me an email at [email protected]. If we have more than 12 interested parents, we will hold elections through a Teams Form that will be sent to all our families via email mid-September.

PSSC: Parent School Support Committee meets 5 times per year to provide advice, feedback, and direction to the principal and school administration. More information can be found at: PSSC – Anglophone East School District (nbed.ca)



First Day of School

The first day of school for all students will be Tuesday September 8, 2025. The only exception will be for students in of the two kindergarten classes who will have a staggered entry, specific details were sent via email to kindergarten families early last week.

Our school day will start at 8:15am with students expected to be in class by 8:20am. Students in Grades K–8 will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m. while students in Grades 9–12 will be dismissed at 3:30 p.m.

As always, updated bus schedules with specific stop locations and times will be available through Bus Planner, on the Anglophone East School District – ASDE website.

Grades K-5 School Supply List 2026-2027
Dear Panther Families
Please find below our school supply list for the 2026-2027 school year.
School Supply List:
Grades K-2 $50 Fee (Pay SchoolCash Online in early August)
Grades 3-5 $50 Fee (Pay SchoolCash Online in early August)
All Students will need:
· A bookbag (large enough to hold folders, lunch, and other belongings)
· A lunch can or lunch bag
· A water bottle
· A pair of indoor sneakers (non-marking soles)
· For Kindergarten to Grade 2 students: A change of clothing (to be kept at school in case of spills or accidents)
