It’s time to start getting ready for school! With students returning to local KPR schools beginning Tuesday, September 8, now is the perfect time to begin easing into school routines! Gradually adjusting sleep schedules, re-establishing daily habits, and talking positively about the return to school can help children and youth feel prepared and confident.

🚌 New to the school bus?
Join STSCO's free First Rider Program this August! Children and families can learn about bus safety and enjoy a short ride to help build confidence for the new school year.
30 minutes sessions will run between 3:00 - 6:00pm at locations in Northumberland, Clarington and Peterborough.
A large school bus and wheelchair accessible school bus will be on site.

KPR students are leading the conversation on mental health! Last fall, over 130 student leaders from 27 intermediate and secondary schools attended Healthy School Summits in collaboration with community partners. After creating custom action plans, they returned to their schools to advocate for peer well-being! This spring they came back together to share their successful results!

Though nineteen years of dedicated giving the Ganaraska Trail PS community has raised over $70,000 for Cops for Cancer. This year’s campaign featured a Dance-a-thon, head shaving, and an epic pie-in-the-face incentive starring teachers, the principal, and Port Hope Police officers!

North Shore Public School in Keene proudly hosted KPR's biggest annual Chess Tournament yet! Organized by teacher Alexander Renaud and supported by the Keene Lions Club, 145 students from 17 schools gathered to test their strategies and find a true sense of team belonging.

Clarke High School successfully hosted its second annual Wellness Fair, bringing student leaders, public health, and local community agencies together. Students used custom health and well-being passports to visit interactive stations exploring nutrition, art, wellness, and positive relationships. Bravo to everyone involved!
