On National Indigenous Peoples Day, we celebrate the rich cultures, histories, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Turtle Island.

Many aspects of daily life, from the sports we play to the medicines we use and the names of the places we call home, have been shaped by Indigenous knowledge and innovation. These contributions are not only part of history, they remain an important part of our communities today.

Earlier this month we hosted a Webinar Wednesday session focused on one of the most common questions prospective students have: How am I going to pay for college?

During the session, Financial Aid Officer Amy D’Silva shared practical advice about OSAP, scholarships, bursaries, work-study opportunities, and the resources available to help students plan for their education with confidence.

Fleming College is pleased to share an announcement from the Government of Ontario regarding a significant investment in the future of post-secondary education and workforce development. As part of a province-wide commitment to modernize learning spaces and equip students with the tools needed for in-demand careers, Fleming College will receive $56 million in funding to support campus renewal, infrastructure improvements, and enhanced learning environments.

We're to announce the addition of Lacrosse Sixes to our athletics program, marking an exciting new chapter for Fleming Phoenix athletics while creating meaningful opportunities for students to engage with and learn about Indigenous cultures, traditions, and history.

Known as the Creator’s Game, lacrosse has deep roots in Haudenosaunee culture and tradition. This exciting new program will create opportunities for student-athletes to compete at the post-secondary level while fostering greater understanding of Indigenous histories, perspectives and teachings.

We're also excited to welcome Dustin Dunn as the inaugural Head Coach of the Fleming Phoenix Lacrosse Sixes team.
