Getting ready for the fall semester?

Please be advised that Brealey Dr. will be closed between Forster Ave. and Stenson Blvd. from Wednesday, August 19 to Friday, August 21 while watermain improvement work is completed.

Local traffic will be permitted, but delays should be expected.

During the closure, Fleming College community members travelling to Sutherland Campus are encouraged to use Stenson Blvd. or the Dobbin Rd. entrance.

Please allow extra travel time, use caution in the area and plan your route accordingly.

That’s a wrap on Skills Ontario’s Trades and Tech Camp at Fleming!

For their final day, campers took part in an FNMI activity before heading back to the carpentry lab for one last hands-on project, building their own camp chairs to take home.

The week wrapped up with a Parent Showcase, giving campers the chance to share what they learned, built and experienced throughout five action-packed days.

From carpentry, welding and electrical to heavy equipment, HVAC, hairstyling and more, it’s been an incredible week of learning, creating and exploring future possibilities.

A big thank you to Skills Ontario, our Fleming faculty and staff, and everyone who helped make this week possible. And congratulations to all of our campers on an awesome week!

Day 4 of Skills Canada - Ontario Trades and Tech Camp was another busy day of hands-on learning at Fleming!

Campers started the day by putting their mechanical and plumbing skills to work, creating their own coat hooks to take home. Next up was a visit to CAMIIT for a tour and outdoor activities before heading back to the trades labs for some hands-on HVAC experience.

The day wrapped up with a visit from the Skills Ontario Trades & Tech Truck, where campers had even more opportunities to explore technology and the skilled trades.

Already completed post-secondary courses or have relevant work and life experience? You may be eligible to receive credit toward your Fleming program.

Fleming College is pleased to share an announcement from the Government of Ontario regarding an investment through the Skills Development Fund that will see Fleming partner with the Scarborough Health Network (SHN). The partnership will utilize an innovative Virtual Standardized Patient platform to provide hands-on learning, mentorship and accelerated training pathways that prepare participants for rewarding careers supporting patients in hospitals, long-term care in communities across Ontario.
