As we gather with family, friends and loved ones this Thanksgiving, may we take time to recognize the many blessings in our lives.

We give thanks for our students, families, staff, parishes and communities, and for the many people who help make our Catholic schools places of faith, hope and belonging.

Clergy Appreciation Day - Oct. 11

On Sunday, we give thanks for the priests and clergy who walk alongside our Catholic school communities in faith.

From celebrating Mass and the Sacraments to offering guidance, prayer and pastoral support, their presence helps strengthen the connection between our schools, parishes and the wider Catholic community.

We are grateful for the many ways our clergy support and accompany our students, families and staff.

Thank you for your service and your ministry.

💚 World Mental Health Day - Oct. 10

Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day.

Mental health is part of our overall well-being, and caring for ourselves and one another matters.

Everyday is an opportunity to check in, listen without judgment and remind someone that they don’t have to face a difficult day alone.

At PVNC Catholic, we continue to work toward school communities where students and staff feel supported, known and valued.

🍎📚 Happy World Teachers' Day!

Today, we celebrate the teachers who inspire curiosity, nurture confidence and help students discover their gifts and potential.

Every day, our teachers do so much more than teach lessons. They build relationships, create belonging and help young people grow in faith, knowledge and character.

Thank you to every teacher across PVNC Catholic for the difference you make in the lives of our students.

🧹✨ Happy National Custodians Day!

Today, we’re saying thank you to the dedicated custodians who help make our schools welcoming, clean and safe places to learn and work each day.

From the early mornings to the end of the school day, their work often happens behind the scenes, but it makes a difference to everyone in our schools.

It’s Official: Introducing St. Cecilia Catholic Elementary School! 🎶🏫

Following an extensive community consultation through Engage PVNC, we are excited to officially announce the name of our newest Bowmanville school community: St. Cecilia Catholic Elementary School!

While construction on our permanent facility at Northglen Blvd. & Middle Rd. continues, the St. Cecilia school community has officially launched and is operating for the 2026–2027 school year as a "school-within-a-school" hosted at nearby St. Elizabeth Catholic Elementary School, under the leadership of Principal Jill Barker.

As the patron saint of music and musicians, St. Cecilia brings a vibrant spirit of faith, joy, and creativity to guide our new school family.

Thank you to all the families, staff, and community members who participated in the naming process and helped shape this milestone.

October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary

Throughout October, we are invited to turn to the Rosary as a prayer of reflection, contemplation and devotion.

As we pray the Rosary, we journey through the life of Jesus alongside Mary, taking time to reflect on the mysteries of our faith and bring our prayers and intentions before God.

May this month be an opportunity for our PVNC Catholic community to pause, pray and grow closer to Christ.
