THANK YOU to each and every person from the Nomad community who has helped make the boys dreams possible. They fight alone but they do not get there alone! Iâm sure you can imagine how tough it would be for a teenager to save to go to Thailand.
All of your donations and support are fuelling these two on their mission to GOLD at the WBC Amazing Muay Thai Festival! I have personally seen some VERY heartwarming actions from everyone to make this happen.
Many didnât just donate but showed up to train with Dax and Lincoln. Big or small or whether or not you felt like you played a part in this mission or their training... you all did! The place wouldnât be what it is and give the experiences that are needed if it wasnât for each individual being in the room!
So THANK YOU! Iâm extremely grateful for the team we have at Nomad and it is an exciting time to come to a place where dreams and hard work meet.
Stay tuned for the livestream link!

Thereâs levels to this game.
Have you ever felt like youâre in front of a dart board and you have to trust that the person throwing the darts is going to hit the board⌠and not you?!
I hope not! But thatâs a little like what putting your true self out there feels like. Sometimes it can feel unsafe, uncertain and scary!
Despite these feelings, you are never going to know your level, until you test your limit and you feel what you are able to overcome. We may think we know it, but have you felt what it feels like to go all in and see the other side of your limits?
Most avoid it and find a reason not too. Few do it. Even fewer embrace it with open arms and without the âsafety net.â If something makes you nervous, good, it must mean something to you. Lean into it.
Do your best. Find a team on the same mission. Thatâs good at âdarts.â And feel what it feels like to be ACCOMPLISHED!
BIG CONGRATS to the Kids, Teens and Adults at Nomad who tested in themselves in grading the last couple of weeks. We know MANY had nerves but DID IT ANYWAYS. Accomplishment is on the other side of fear! And fear has no voice when we do the work we need to do!
There IS levels to this game.
Keep moving!

We brought two fighters to the WAKO Canada National Championships today and we come home with two National Champions!
This was Connorâs first open class tournament and he draws an experienced fighter out of Quebec with professional experience.
Sometimes a second job as a fighter is clearing âthe crowdsâ opinions from your mind to focus on the job. This is before the fight takes place at times. We really donât know what a fighter goes through unless we do it ourselves. So if you see a silent fighter.. best to give them some space a few weeks out from a fight!
With news of this fight there were nerves but Connor personally wanted this challenge and took the opportunity with excitement. Connor WINS via decision in a back and forth technical battle.
As for Evelyn.. Evelyn overcame a lot of struggles in this camp from the nerves, weight cut and of course school! The stress of events like this are a lot for kids and hats off to any athlete getting in there giving their best. As we learned, stress is good because it means that something is important to you! When you care and care meets success itâs a beautiful thing to watch. Evelyn wins by TKO in the 2nd round over a tough opponent from Timmins. Much respect ladies!
I appreciate the experience you two! You both have made me better. Thank you to everyone involved and supporting this experience for these two! On to the next challenge!
