At Compass Early Learning and Care, we believe that children are competent, full of wonder and ideas, and that they are entitled to learning environments that honour them. Mark your calendars!🙌
What can we learn when we step beyond the fence with children and create a sense of place? Compass ELC’s Outdoor Institute with Sanctuary Flower Fields as our setting, located in Ennismore, ON, invites educators to spend two and a half days outdoors. We will share stories of learning in practice, while exploring the land beneath our feet, each other and the non-human world.
How are we are in a reciprocal relationship with it?
Join us for a meaningful gathering rooted in community, intentional reflection, and connection to the outdoors. Save the date and stay tuned for more information. 🍂

We gain lots of inspiration at Compass from Ann Pelo’s work. This quote is from her book “The Goodness of Rain”.
How have you been enjoying these first hints of spring?

Compass ELC is joining child care advocates from across the country this week to call on those most responsible for child care to commit to expanding and strengthening the $10 a day child care system at their upcoming meeting. The more voices reaching out to MPs and MPPs, the more they know this should be a priority.
We urge you to visit compasselc.com/advocacy/ to make your voice heard! It will only take two minutes to insist our leaders take action.
