We are the home of Trent University Indigenous student services

The First Peoples House of Learning (FPHL) is the home of Indigenous Student Success Initiatives at Trent University. We are focused on creating an engaged learning community based on respect, relationships, and reciprocity based in Indigenous knowledges. FPHL provides Indigenous student services and events for all Trent University students, staff and faculty; however we encourage all communities to participate and to get involved with our events.

⭐️Open to all FNMI students!⭐️

Enjoy some time in the strawberry fields and pick a basket of fresh berries to take home with you, on us! We will be meeting at McLean Berry Farm located at 2191 16 Line, in Lakefield, at 9 am on Tuesday June 23rd.

Come pick one basket to take home and one basket for FPHL events (like the Strawberry Social on the 24th ☺️🍓). We will return to the Gzowski kitchen after picking to prep and process the berries.

June 6th marks Blue Jean Jacket Day, a national day of awareness for Murdered, missing and exploited Indigenous men and boys. Today we wear our jean jackets to bring awareness to an often overlooked crisis and honour all those who have been impacted.

10,000 miigwech to everyone who showed up to Bingo tonight! What a nice and fun way to finish our Ishkodehwin Dinners! It has been a pleasure to see everyone, hang out, and accompany some of you throughout this academic year! Remember that us at FPHL are rooting for you and so are your ancestors during this upcoming exam season, and we'll still be there if you need any support!
