The Seasoned Spoon is recruiting new board members and we'd love to hear from you! No board experience is required, we only ask that you commit to one meeting a month and share in our efforts to govern this truly unique non-profit. Oh, and one last thing, board members receive one free meal a week for their contributions - one of the many benefits of getting involved.

This is a Community Food Calendar for the City of Peterborough which includes free food. Not included on this list is the weekly Food Not Bombs meals on Mondays which require registering. I wish you success on exams and hope this helps.

OPIRG PETERBOROUGH IS OFFERING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Hi folks, we know this is a difficult time right now and we wanted to find a way to help support you!

About a week ago, we asked folks via social media what they needed and the majority of folks said rent money.

As a result, we have converted some of our budget that isn’t being used now to provide folks with an opportunity for individuals to receive $50 each from us.

We hope that this small contribution can assist you with rent, groceries, or other costs that you are having difficulty covering during COVID-19.

To apply, email [email protected] with the subject line “Financial Assistance.”

We urge those with difficulty accessing banking or with a limited online presence to still apply.

Please consider your current level of access to resources before you reach out. We don’t want to discourage anyone from asking for support, but we hope that these funds can go to folks who are needing it.

We have a limited supply and will let you know on our social media pages when we have run out.
