Casting for Circus-Burlesque performers!

This is the official callout for act proposals for Cirquelesque 2026:
Cirquelesque 7 Seas!

This is our Seventh Sexy Show, which will be brought to you by the letter C and the number 7!
C is for Cunnalingus, Consent, Come-hither, Curiosity, Caress, Camp and Cirquelesque!
It’s also for the Sea! Everything’s better down where it’s wetter, take it from me. Think mermaids, pirates, and aquatic life of all kinds!

Show dates are Sat Feb 14 and Sun Feb 15th 2024.
Undress rehearsal will be the evening of Feb12th.
Tech rehearsal will be the evening of Feb 11th.
(Please only apply if you are able to commit to these dates)

Our vision for Cirquelesque includes 10-12 high quality circus acts. Ideally, each act features a circus discipline and has a cohesive narrative, costuming, and musical selection. Students are welcome to apply but ought to plan for how they will be supported in their act development process by a mentor or coach.

Deadline for proposals is Nov 17th 2025. (It's okay if your idea evolves as you develop it, but send your starting pitch on time!) Email to [email protected]

Please include:
-Brief description of act/concept & how it relates to the Sea and/or the letter C/ #7 (ex mermaid lyra act or 7 gay sailors swabbing the deck burst into a sexy flow arts act spinning mop staffs and flags)
-Circus apparatus(es)
-Song title if you have it, and length of time
-Names of all performers (if not a solo)
-Link to an example(s) of your work (video if possible, photos accepted)
-If you have a mentorship or coaching plan, please let us know about it

Performers will be paid based on a split of the proceeds after production costs are covered.

If you can think of anyone who I have missed who can perform a fusion of circus and burlesque, please let me know so I can reach out to them.

📍 Meet at the park across from City Hall
⏰ Arrive between 12:00–12:30 PM (parade starts at 1:00 PM)
