Congratulations to Queen E's 75th graduating class!

One of the biggest projects to commemorate Queen E's 75th anniversary is the mural that now greets everyone as they enter the school. We are very proud of all the talented artists in the Queen E community who volunteered their time and energy on the project.

We would also like to give special thanks to Col. Chris Hadfield for signing a picture of the mural containing his likeness.

Hold open house at Queen Elizabeth One word stood out when attending the open house celebrations for the 75th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth Public School Saturday.

Dear Queen E Alumni,

Thank you again to everyone for joining us on Saturday and for making the 75th celebrations a very special and memorable day. We were all overwhelmed and humbled by the turnout. If you haven’t had a chance yet to see some of the pictures please scroll down on the page.

It was very important to us that the celebrations were a fitting tribute for a remarkable school that has meant so much for so many people. The event was entirely funded by parent council via the generosity of current staff, students and their families.

Now we would like to give back to the current students to commemorate the 75th. Our goal is to create an outdoor learning centre in the school’s courtyard. Our vision is to have an outdoor learning space designed to support outdoor teaching and learning, demonstrate environmental responsibility and be inclusive to all students now and in the future.

To do this we need your help! Please consider a donation.

For a minimum donation of $25 a tax receipt will be issued provided the cheque is made out to Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board with a notation in the memo line “Queen E 75th.“

Wow! What a great day. For the thousand plus that came out thank you so much. We were overwhelmed by the turnout and your support of our truly remarkable school. A big thanks also to the dozens of volunteers and all of the current teachers and staff who contributed in so many ways.

Everyone is welcome to the Open House at the school from 1-3 p.m.

The school looks great and we are all excited to open the doors to the past 75 years. There are also activities for children (bouncy castles, face painting and more) so bring the kids/grandkids along and show them where you used to hang out!
