Kick off Head of the Trent weekend by reconnecting with fellow rowing and rugby alumni at an evening celebrating two of Trent’s longest-standing varsity traditions.

Join us for the Annual Alumni Row, hosted by the Trent University Rowing Club and Peterborough Rowing Club, then gather at Justin Chui Stadium to cheer on the Excalibur Women’s Rugby team from the VIP viewing area.

The perfect day doesn’t exi...😏 We curated your perfect day at Head of the Trent, coming up October 2 - 4, 2026.

🥞10:00 a.m. Enjoy a free pancake breakfast

🎪11:00 a.m. Check in at the Alumni Welcome Tent for your alumni wristband, getting you exclusive access to the Alumni Fan Zone at the stadium

🧢11:15 a.m. Stock up on your TURC HOTT merch! Be sure to visit the Alumni Welcome Tent first for $5 HOTT Bucks, redeemable on TURC merch

🐰11:30 a.m. Head to the Kids’ Zone for games, character visits, and interactive animal show, proudly presented by TD Insurance

👣12:00 p.m. Take a guided tour of Champlain College, as they celebrate 60 years. Tours depart the Great Hall at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

🍕1:00 p.m. Grab a tasty bite for lunch from Food Truck Alley

🚣‍♀️1:20 p.m. Catch a rowing race from a prime viewing area, located right behind the Student Centre

⚽️2:15 p.m. Cheer on the men’s Excalibur soccer game from the Alumni Fan Zone (be sure to get your wristband from the Alumni Welcome Tent first!)

🍻4:00 p.m. Cheers at the Céílíe! Free cover, all-ages, and open until 6:00 p.m.

🏉6:00 p.m. Nothing beats the energy of Justin Chiu Stadium when the sun goes down! Cheer on the men’s Excalibur rugby team as they take on University of Guelph

Alumni House will be closed for the remainder of the week ⬇️

⚠️ In-person classes on Symons Campus are cancelled for the rest of the week, and campus buildings to be closed; Traill College and the Durham GTA campus will continue as scheduled.

The University is responding to a watermain break affecting the primary water service to Symons Campus.

While there is no imminent risk to personal safety, the disruption is impacting water availability across campus and requires the temporary closure of campus buildings and services while repairs are completed.

🏠 Students in Residence
Residences on the Symons Campus
(Champlain, Lady Eaton, Otonabee, and Gzowski Colleges) will close effective 2:30 p.m.

Student Housing will directly contact students living in residence.
Students living in impacted residences are required to make arrangements to return home if they are able.

Limited food services will remain available while students are making arrangements to depart.

The University recognizes this disruption will affect many members of our community. Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work to restore water service and safely resume normal campus operations.

Watch for updates through the University’s official communication channels, including the Trent Safety App, email, and trentu.ca/advisory.

Head of the Trent is for the whole family! 💚

On October 3, bring your future TrentU alumni to the Kids’ Zone presented by TD Insurance and enjoy interactive animal displays, special character appearances, face painting, giant games, and plenty of hands-on fun throughout the day.

The Kids’ Zone runs from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and can now be found outside the Student Centre. Parents, this prime location also offers a great opportunity to catch some of the rowing action while the kids enjoy the festivities!

Calling all Champlainers!

As part of Head of the Trent Weekend, join us on October 3 to celebrate 60 years of Champlain College at a special Anniversary Brunch hosted by retired college assistant Noranne Flower and principal James Onusko.

Reconnect with friends, tour newly rejuvenated spaces, explore the anniversary archive display, and celebrate the traditions that made Champlain home.
