✨Fleming College Hospitality graduate spotlight!✨I'd like to introduce you to Kayla! ✨

Since graduating from Fleming College, my career in hospitality has continued to grow and evolve. I am currently a Front Office Supervisor at Holiday Inn Express Toronto-North York, where I have taken on a dynamic leadership role within the hotel.

In addition to overseeing front office operations, I am deeply involved in coaching, mentoring, and inspiring my team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. I work closely with our housekeeping department to ensure quality and cleanliness, and I proudly serve as the Certified Health & Safety Chair, prioritizing workplace well-being. Beyond operations, I manage all of our social media channels, strengthening our hotel’s online presence, and collaborate with our sales team to expand my industry knowledge and provide valuable insights.

This year marks my 10th year in the hospitality industry, and I am grateful for the journey that has shaped me. My time at Fleming College provided me with the strong foundation, industry knowledge, and confidence needed to excel in this fast-paced and rewarding field. I appreciate the education and support I received and look forward to continued growth in my career.

🎉ATTENTION HOSPITALITY STUDENTS!
The college is seeking multiple Student Conference Services Assistants to join the College Services department from May to August 30th, 2025. The possibility of employment beginning in April is based on availability.

As a Student Conference Services Assistant, you will be responsible to:
Assist with the basic setup and teardown of college events/activities
Assist with developing print content such as posters, brochures and other marketing related materials.
Provide general reception/help desk assistance (answer phones, respond to emails, greet visitors)
Operate office equipment such as photocopier, printer and fax machine.
Assist with scheduling of meetings, special events and general office activities.
Respond to general inquiries (email, phone, in person), provide customer service, basic instruction and direct students/staff to appropriate personnel or resources.
Assist with the preparation and organization of room supplies and materials.
Assist with inventory tracking and monitoring (ie. equipment and supplies)
Greet and usher spectators to appropriate seating at college events
Other duties as required.
