Meet Karen, an international student born in Peru and raised in Venezuela, who is pursuing her passion for Mental health and Addictions at Fleming College!
For her, becoming a Mental Health and Addiction Worker is about more than getting a diploma. It’s about understanding people beyond their circumstances, meeting them where they are at, challenging stigma, and creating spaces where everyone feels heard, valued, and supported.
Through hands-on learning and meaningful connections, she is gaining the knowledge and skills to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Her story is a reminder that knowledge, compassion, and understanding go hand in hand to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. ✨🧠💜
