Important Lacrosse Day Information

As Lacrosse Day approaches, we'd like to share a few helpful details to make your day run smoothly.

Parking:
We recommend parking in the Spruce Lot, as it's the closest to the classroom for the morning session. Parking fees can be paid by scanning the QR codes posted throughout the lots or by visiting the information desk at the main entrance.

Parking Rates:
$4 per hour
$12 per day

Weather:
The forecast is calling for a chance of drizzle on Wednesday, but that won't stop us from having a great time! Since a portion of the event will take place outdoors, please come dressed for the weather.

In the event of severe weather, some activities may be paused or cancelled for safety reasons.

We're excited to welcome back Jim Calder and Justin Warner to share their knowledge and skills. Jim will share the history of lacrosse during a morning session, and Justin will teach participants the physical skills needed to play a couple of games in the afternoon.

This year, you'll also have a chance to receive an exclusive shirt designed by Indigenous artist Jared Tait, along with many other prizes!

Check out the posters for more information.

May 14 is Moose Hide Campaign Day. This is a day to stand with those who have experienced gender based violence and to start conversations that can help end it.

Whether it’s wearing a pin, joining a fast, taking part in a walk, or attending an information session, there are lots of ways to get involved and show support.

We encourage you to visit the Moose Hide Campaign website to learn more about this initiative.

Indigenous Student Services has Moose Hide pins available for anyone who would like to participate (Sutherland Room B2 299).
