As we celebrate let’s remember it’s a place that’s been around much longer than 1867. The First Peoples have called Turtle Island 🐢 home for millennia. Let’s acknowledge this, recognize our past wrongs + respect Indigenous cultures + traditions.

All educators in our community received a copy of 52 Ways to Reconcile and had the opportunity to listen to the author, David A. Robertson at our Gather & Grow Professional Learning Day. Reconciliation is critical for early childhood educators because we shape how children first understand identity, belonging, and human relationships. Because values and biases form at a young age, early educators hold immense responsibility in breaking the cycle of systemic racism and supporting a shared future.
