• 10:00 a.m. – All Grade 7 students and NEW Grade 8 students
• 11:00 a.m. – All Grade 9 students and NEW Grade 10–12 students

Need a uniform for the upcoming school year? Stop by our Used Uniform Sale on Wednesday, August 19, from 2:00–6:00 p.m. in the SJCHS cafeteria. Gently used uniform items will be available at great prices. Cash only. We look forward to seeing you there!

A rainy start couldn't dampen our spirits! The sun came out just in time for an incredible Grade 8 End-of-Year adventure at Silver Lake Wesleyan Camp. ☀️🌲

Our days were packed with a perfect mix of high-energy Nerf combat, archery tag, beach volleyball, basketball, and waterslides, balanced out by camp favorites like ping-pong, foosball, and a cozy big-screen movie night. 🍿🏓🏐

Our Grade 8s played hard, ate well, slept in, and enjoyed one final, unforgettable getaway together to celebrate the end of their elementary school journey. 🎓

Celebrating Two Incredible Retirements 🌟

Yesterday, we celebrated two extraordinary women whose dedication and compassion have left a lasting mark on our school community.

Mrs. Sandra Theobald gave 40 years of service to students — 37 of them right here in the Perth community at St. John Catholic Elementary School and St. John Catholic High School. She introduced our students to coding, launched our beloved Hackergals Hackathon, built a Nutrition Program rooted in dignity and access, and co-founded our Digital Literacy Committee to ensure every student and teacher could thrive in a technology-driven world. Calm, fair, and a life-long learner, Mrs. Theobald led by example and with passion every single day.

Mrs. Maureen Merkley dedicated 37 years to the CDSBEO, including 26 years right here at St. John Catholic High School. As an Educational Assistant in our Multiple Exceptionalities Program, she showed up every day with her whole heart, building deep relationships with students and colleagues alike and making our school a kinder, more compassionate place simply by being in it.

Sandra and Maureen, on behalf of every student you supported and every colleague you encouraged: thank you. You have more than earned what comes next. 💚

🎭🎵🎨 What a night to remember! Last Thursday, SJCHS hosted its 1st Annual Arts Banquet — a beautiful celebration of everything our students have accomplished this year in drama, music, and visual arts.

Students were treated to a feast generously donated by our incredible Spartan families, enjoyed live musical performances between awards, and most importantly, were recognized for the passion and talent they bring to the arts every single day.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing arts teachers for nurturing creativity and excellence in our school — and to every student who has brought the arts alive at SJCHS this year. You make us so proud!🌟Special thanks to Kathy Botham for the amazing photos!

Last week, we came together to celebrate the heart and dedication of our Spartan athletes at our Annual Athletic Banquet!

From early morning practices to late-night games, our student athletes and coaches gave everything they had this year, and it was a joy to honour their accomplishments as a school community.

A heartfelt thank you to our Athletic Director, Mrs. Frizell, whose tireless behind-the-scenes work made this special event possible. Thank you also to all our coaches for the time they devoted to developing our young athletes. And a huge shoutout to Mr. Lee for the incredible photos you see here!
