Here are more photos of our students’ creations for the McDonald’s Corners Fair!

Mrs. G’s Grade 1/2 class combined science and art to create bird nests to enter into the McDonald’s Corners Fair! They learned how birds build their nests and then tried to recreate them using creativity and problem-solving skills.

Our nests were a hit at the fair, with our class earning top placements from 1st to 4th!

We are so proud of all the creativity, effort, and teamwork that went into our nests!

And.. photos our our Grade 3 writing winners!

Well done everyone!

This week was Fire Prevention Week and we had the opportunity to do a fire drill with our local fire department!

AND… after our successful fire drill we got to check out the FIRE TRUCK 🔥 🚒 🔥

Fire Prevention Week is a great reminder to test your home fire alarms and to discuss emergency plans with your family.

This week we enjoyed a music assembly with special guests C.A. and Sonny, an Ottawa based duo focused on preserving the tradition of folk music.

Using a variety of stringed instruments, Their musicality is balanced expertly in their laid back performance, showcasing an enormous repertoire of antiquated melodies and stories.

They are part of The Small Halls Festival of Music and we were very entertained by them.

Thank-you for sharing your love of music with us!
