Ms. Crowe's Food and Nutrition class cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey marinated with citrus and herbs, a baked carrot dish, broccoli and cheddar, mashed potatoes, gravy, buns, corn, stuffing, and pumpkin/apple pies. Everything made in house and delicious.

Students learned the importance of giving thanks, and then welcomed in a large group of exchange students who joined them for a traditional Canadian Thanksgiving meal.

Our student chefs were super proud! Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all!

Congratulations to our Blue Devils at the LCIAA Golf Championship on September 30 at Mississippi golf course, placing 3rd overall as a team!

This event is a great chance to explore the profession, connect with local child care employers, hear from keynote speaker Mary Hewitt, and ask questions about what a future in ECE could look like.

Several of our Grade 7 and 8 students participated in the McDonald's Corners Fair this past weekend. They were challenged with creating French and English artwork/writing in various categories all within the theme of Homesteading. An important and relevant topic in our beautiful community! Thanks to the organizers for the learning opportunity and congrats to the students on your awesome submissions! We're proud of you Blue Devils!!

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 🧡 Orange Shirt Day

On September 30, PDCI acknowledged the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day.

This important day is a time to remember and honour First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Survivors of Canada’s residential school system, as well as the children who never returned home and the families and communities forever impacted.

At PDCI, we recognize the importance of listening, learning, remembering and continuing the work of reconciliation.
