📚 2026-27 School Supply Information for SVHS Students

As we begin preparing for another exciting school year, we would like to remind families that the school supply list shared by Southern Victoria High School is a general list of supplies.

Elective and specialty courses, such as Physical Education, skilled trades, upper-level mathematics, science courses, and other options, may require additional supplies. Teachers will communicate those requirements during the first week of school.

Most importantly, don't stress about buying everything before September. Start with the basics, and we'll help students determine any additional supplies they may need for their specific courses.

✅ For the first week, students should come prepared with:

- Pens and pencils
- Loose-leaf paper
- Binders, notebooks, or duotangs

Are you heading to UNB this fall? The Perth-Andover Public Library has a scholarship opportunity available, but they haven't received any applications yet!

If you're an SVHS graduate planning to attend the University of New Brunswick this September, this could be a great opportunity to help support your post-secondary journey.

🎓 SVHS Graduation – Live Stream Announcement 🎓

We’re excited to celebrate our graduates and share this special moment with our entire community!

Families, friends, and community members who can’t attend in person are invited to tune in and celebrate the Class of 2026 from wherever they are. 💙

Incredible community action led by Southern Victoria High School, one of our 2026 Community Cleanup Grant recipients! 👏🌎💚

This meaningful cleanup project in the Perth-Andover area was initiated and led by student Hayden Taylor, inspired by his work experience in town maintenance and his concern about the amount of litter in the community. 💪♻️

With support from the grant, volunteers were equipped with safety vests, litter grabbers, gloves, and waste bags to safely collect roadside debris and litter throughout the area. 🌿

Over the course of the day, participants cleaned multiple roadside sections, parks, and public green spaces, removing several large bags of waste from the community.

While most of the litter collected was not recyclable, the effort still made a significant visible impact on the local environment and community pride. 💚

Action communautaire impressionnante menée par l’École secondaire Southern Victoria High School, l’un de nos récipiendaires 2026 des subventions de nettoyage communautaire ! 👏🌎💚

Ce projet de nettoyage significatif dans la région de Perth-Andover a été initié et dirigé par l’élève Hayden Taylor, inspiré par son expérience de travail en entretien municipal et par son inquiétude face à la quantité de déchets dans la communauté. 💪♻️

Grâce au soutien de la subvention, les bénévoles ont été équipés de vestes de sécurité, pinces de ramassage, gants et sacs à déchets afin de ramasser de façon sécuritaire les débris et les déchets le long des routes de la région. 🌿

Au cours de la journée, les participants ont nettoyé plusieurs tronçons routiers, parcs et espaces verts, retirant plusieurs grands sacs de déchets de la communauté.

Bien que la majorité des déchets recueillis n’était pas recyclable, l’initiative a tout de même eu un impact visible important sur l’environnement local et la fierté communautaire. 💚
