National Truth and Reconciliation Day honours the children who never returned home from residential schools, Survivors, their families, and communities.

It also provides an opportunity to learn about the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools, reflect on the truths of Canada’s past and present, and deepen our commitment to reconciliation.
