Congratulations to all of our Pen High track and field athletes with their amazing performances at provincials this past weekend!

Congratulations to Saachi Brar for her bronze medal in junior girls high jump, and to Devan Kozak with a silver medal in senior boys 110m hurdles

Pen High senior girls placed 9th overall out of 71 teams scoring 21 points

There were also many top 10 performances from our Pen High team:

Leah Evans: 4th senior girls 1500m, 6th senior girls 800m

Sophia Carleton-Palanio: 4th senior girls 100m hurdles, 7th senior girls 400m hurdles

Nixon Annett: 4th grade 8 boys 200m hurdles

Annabel Rohloff, Leah Evans, Presley Hickie, Sophia Carleton-Palanio: 5th Senior girls 4x400m

Presley Hickie: 6th junior girls 1500m, 7th junior girls 3000m

Nathan Tithecott: 6th junior boys javelin

Sara Edge: 7th senior girls pole vault

Miles Hayden: 7th senior boys 1500m

Gabriel Cardoso: 7th junior boys long jump

Congratulations to both casts of Newsies! The final performance was last night, and what an incredible run it has been.

A huge congratulations to all of our actors for their talent, dedication, and countless hours of rehearsals that brought this story to life. Thank you as well to our musicians, tech crew, and everyone working behind the scenes for helping make each performance so memorable.

Special thanks to Mr. Knudsen, Mrs. Boxall, and Mr. Palm for their guidance and leadership, Mrs. Hooper and the Textiles Department for the costumes, the Woodshop program and everyone who helped create the set, our parent volunteers for running the concession, and Mrs. Barney for organizing the donation table. Thank you also to everyone who spent countless hours setting up, moving equipment, preparing the theatre, and taking everything down after each performance.

The Musical Theatre Department continues to grow and shine thanks to the support of so many. To our graduating students, thank you for your hard work and dedication over the years. You will be missed.

Devan Kozak captured silver in the 110 m hurdles an absolute photo finish, crossing the line in a new personal best of 14.38 seconds. Lane #5 !! The gold medal was won in 14.36, just 0.02 seconds ahead!
Our athletes are doing incredibly well at Provincials, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way they are representing Penticton Secondary School. Keep it going, Lakers!
