Yesterday, we talked about taking a step. Today, I want to ask you—did you take it?

That step—the one you keep thinking about, the one you want to take but haven’t yet. Why is that? What’s holding you back?

A few years ago, I listened to a podcast that asked a simple but powerful question: “What would my life look like if I continued on the same path I’m on now?”

My first thought, a little cheeky, was: “Well, I’ll be doing the same thing I’ve been doing—and what I’m doing now.”

But in a flash, it hit me: I didn’t want that. I wanted something different.

My life wasn’t bad. I had a good-paying job, beautiful children, an amazing grandson. I explored the places around me and connected with people every day. Sounds great, right?

Yet something was missing—depth in connections, excitement to get up and get going, and feeling the difference my work made in the world.

So, I took that step. And I keep taking it, every single day. Some days, I don’t want to. But I want more—and to get there, I need to keep moving forward.

Now, I ask you: What does your future look like if you never take that step—toward the people you want to meet, the places you dream of exploring, and the life you truly desire?

Like clouds drifting and reshaping above us, we too can change—softly, slowly, beautifully. Reinvention doesn’t require grand gestures; it begins with baby steps: a new thought, a small choice, a gentle shift in direction. Each sunrise whispers permission to begin again, to learn something new, to move closer to the person you wish to become. Growth continues if you allow it, as does hope as does the quiet truth that today is yours—and it’s never too late to start.

Take that step.

A little delayed in posting these. A big thank you to Canadian Forces Snowbirds for a great show at Penticton’s Peach Festival opener. After a bit of a weather delay, they provided a fantastic show! Definitely one of my favourite parts of Peach Festival.

People have asked me what is it about clouds that makes me want to take pictures of them. Two things: the shapes you see within the clouds and how they change. The two pictures are taken within 30 minutes.

Your Time to Soar with Lois Leonard: The Wisdom From Pearls: Learning with Curiosity and Wonder – The World is Your Oyster 03/10/2025

One of the things I have been very grateful to have learned from my Nana and Papa is to be a lifelong learner. Knowledge is power when you put it into action.

Continue to follow your dreams by being curious and learning more about what baby steps to take, being curious about why you want to do what you want to do.

Learning from perceived failures is a great class. The place where you entered the arena to bring your dream to life. Even when you stumble and fall, your curiosity on what to do to have success keeps you learning and breathing life into your dream.

Authenticity and comparison. How do these two things show up in your life? Would you like to be more authentic or stop comparing yourself with others? Join us tomorrow at 11:30 PT. Pearl #5 Authenticity and Comparison. Be You and Stay Focused on What You Want.

Tune in Tuesday 2/11 at 11:30am PT/ 2:30pm ET for a discussion on being & releasing th need to compare yourself to others! https://ow.ly/YLn250UVhaB Time to Soar

Who do you show up as? Are you the same person with the people you meet, work with, love, and spend time with?

If not, what stops you from being you?

You are an amazing person who has so much to give to the people you see in your day.

You are a gift and have a gift that isnto be shown and shared with others.

So again, I ask what is holding you back from being authentically you with the people you engage with and those that pass by you?

Would it, could it be anything to do with comparison? Do you compare any aspect of your life with others?

If so, what does this thinking pattern do to make you be you, light up, and live life?

This will be the next pearl on the Wisdom from Pearls podcast on February 11th at 11:30am PT with Dr. Pat Bacilli on The Dr. Pat Show.

Time - a very precious commodity. When reflecting over the past year, the voice of my Nana whispers, "Remember, as you age, time will appear as if it is speeding up. This is an illusion as time remains the same, 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes to an hour, 24 hours to a day and so on. The time you have remaining is in shorter supply." She didn't say it to get me down, it was a gold nugget to live intentionally. Every day.

What promises were made to ourselves or others for 2024 that never got off the ground? What wishes / regrets do we have in this moment for 2024. As the hours dwindle or have already past as you read this, what intention will you place on 2025? What intention will you place on yourself?

Time is non-judgmental. It cares not what we do with it for it passes effortlessly moment to moment. It continues as you move through your life. I encourage you to remember that when it is gone, it is gone.

I remember when I was a kid and things were kept for a special occasion. Sometimes those special occasions never arrived. Someone departed, events filled those moments, or maybe the occasion was never special enough. Every moment is special if we are willing to see them that way. You woke up this morning, you were able to move from your bed to the start of your day, you spoke with friends, family, and/or colleagues, met a stranger and shared a smile...every day, every moment is special when willing to be open to the beauty of it. Use the china, wear the outfit, do the thing that you are saving for the perfect special moment. The other thing that time does, it keeps a secret about when your time is done. For I feel, it wants you to enjoy the time you have without worrying when your time is over.

My wish for you for 2025 is to be deeply aware of the time you have to invest in your time with family, friends, colleagues, the outside world and time in nature to live life fully on your terms and to be energized to show others how to be their best self.

Wishing you the happiest, intention filled, time fully used years ahead.
