What a fun Pet Week at preschool!

Our amazing teacher (a true dog lover and trainer!) Jacquie taught us dog safety, how to read pet body language, and the responsibilities of pet ownership. We had special guests—real Huxley (the friendliest dog!) and a super cool hairless cat—who came to visit and stole the show. Kids shared their own pet photos, and we made adorable cat and turtle paintings in art.
We played “Who Has Huxley?”—our little hard dog toy! Friends took turns hiding him, reading classmates’ faces, and asking “Do you have Huxley?” It built great turn-taking, emotional awareness, communication, and empathy skills.
Such a pawsitively wonderful week full of wagging tails, gentle pets, and happy learning!

Remember to bring in pictures of your pets! The children are delighted in sharing pictures of their furry family members.

We are celebrating pets this week at the preschool. If you have pictures of your pets feel free to bring them in for our classroom walls!

"Year of the Horse theme week was magical!
We explored the classic Chinese zodiac story—learning how the animals raced to claim their spots-danced like dragons and created horse artwork full of personality. Even with the same supplies, every child's creation is one-of-a-kind, showing how creativity shines uniquely in each of the preschoolers!
