Thank you for your patients well , we work to improve the lives of some four legged friends.

Most of you know how micaela and I have worked hard teaching water education.
Not everyone is aware that I started my career as a horseback riding coach.

Animals are close to our hearts and we are thankful we have the chance to help! We know you will suport us when things calm down and we can get back to teaching. In the meantime , if you're wondering what we are up to follow okanaganfarmrescue page !

Say hi to your children for us we miss you all!

Quick question for the community: when did you last renew your first aid certification?

A) This year — I'm current!
B) 1-2 years ago — probably due for a refresher
C) 3+ years ago — yikes
D) Never — it's been on my to-do list forever

Drop your answer in the comments. No judgment here — this is genuinely one of those things that's easy to let slide until you really need it.

If B, C, or D sounds like you, we have August BLS (CPR & AED) courses coming up. Indoor, Okanagan-based, and open for registration interest now.

Tag someone who also needs to get on this.

🚨 WATERWAVES IS CLOSED AS WE HELP OUR COMMUNITY 🚨

Water Waves will be temporarily closed as we work alongside our community to help animals affected by the wildfires in the Okanagan.

Micaela is one of the amazing people helping rescue animals and provide them with shelter at Feedway Stables. Horses, chickens, goats, and other animals are being brought to safety, and they need our help.

❤️ If you are able to help, please share this post!

We have set up an email for anyone who would like to donate toward the rescue, transportation, shelter, food, and care of these animals:

📧 [email protected]

We also urgently need supplies and volunteers, including:

🐴 Hay and grain
🐔 Animal feed
🛠️ Wheelbarrows
💧 Garden hoses
🪣 Water and feeding supplies
🏠 Pens and fencing supplies
🙋‍♀️ Volunteers to help set up pens, feed animals, clean, haul supplies, and care for the animals

If you can help in any way, please email us or call the Waterwaves phone and let us know what you can provide.

🚨 If you have animals trapped or need help getting your animals out, we are actively hauling animals to safety. Please reach out.

To all of our Waterwaves clients and community members who have been affected by the fires: our hearts are with you. ❤️

This is a time for our community to come together. We may not be able to do everything, but together we can make a difference.

🙏 Please share this post so we can reach as many people as possible.

🐴❤️ Every animal matters. Every helping hand matters.

Back to school is weeks away. Fall sports are starting. Your kids will be surrounded by people who love them — but are those people ready if something goes wrong?

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification covers CPR and AED use — two skills that can literally keep someone alive until emergency services arrive. Most cardiac arrests happen at home or in community settings. The people nearby first are the ones who make the difference.

This is for you if you're a:
- Parent or grandparent
- Sports coach or team manager
- Childcare provider or school volunteer
- Anyone who wants to feel genuinely prepared

Our August course runs indoors here in the Okanagan. Spots fill up — if you've been meaning to renew or get certified for the first time, now is the right time.

Message us or email [email protected] to get on the list. 778-622-0515 | waterwaves.ca

While we wait for the smoke to clear and the skies to open back up, here's one thing you can do that doesn't require blue skies or good air quality — get certified.

We're opening spots for our August BLS (Basic Life Support / CPR & AED) course, offered indoors and guaranteed to run regardless of weather or wildfire smoke. Whether you're a parent, coach, caregiver, or just someone who wants to be ready when it counts — this is your window.

Knowing how to respond in a cardiac emergency isn't just a checkbox. It's the difference between helpless and prepared.

Spots are limited. If August works for you, reach out and we'll get your name on the list.

August lake lessons are open and filling up fast!

There is nothing quite like learning to swim in the beautiful Okanagan waters. Our lake programs run through August in Penticton, Naramata, Summerland, and Osoyoos, and we still have a few spots available.

We also have a limited number of home pool lesson spots this month. Due to our small team this summer, availability is very limited, so if you have been waiting for a private home pool session, now is the time to reach out.

Whether it is your little one's first time in the water or a confidence builder for an older swimmer, we bring the same personalized care to every lesson.

Reach out to book your August spot before they are gone!
