Our thoughts are with everyone in our school district and community who has been affected by the Bald Range wildfire in Summerland. We recognize that this is a challenging time for many families, staff, host families, and community members as emergency response efforts continue.

To our international students, partners, and homestay families: we want to reassure you that we are closely monitoring the situation and working with local authorities to stay informed. Our priority remains preparing for the safe arrival of students and a successful start to the school year.

At this time, we are anticipating a normal September start for our international programs and schools. As conditions continue to evolve, we are awaiting further guidance from local and regional authorities before confirming any operational changes.

We also encourage everyone to rely on official sources for accurate and up-to-date information, such as the City of Penticton, the RDOS Emergency Operations Centre, BC Wildfire Service, and other emergency management agencies. Please help reduce confusion by avoiding the sharing of unverified information on social media or through unofficial channels.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we navigate this situation. The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and host families, while maintaining program continuity, remains our highest priority.
