Middle & High School English Teacher – Charlotte County Christian Academy (CCCA)

Location: Pennfield, NB Type: Full-time (August 2026 – June 2027) Closing Date: August 5, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.

We are seeking a dedicated Middle & High School English Teacher to join our English Department, helping students develop strong communication, literacy, and critical thinking skills in a faith-centered learning environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate educator who embraces Christian education, fosters academic excellence, and engages students in literature, writing, and discussion. The ideal candidate will be committed to multi-grade teaching, collaboration, and nurturing a positive classroom culture.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Middle and High School English, with appropriate planning and preparation.

Encourage students to think critically and develop strong literacy skills.

Provide a structured and supportive learning environment.

Maintain accurate records and update learning objectives/targets as needed.

Offer enrichment blocks and after-school enhancement sessions.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Function as part of the middle school team, embracing team teaching and collaboration.

Participate in extracurricular activities, including athletics and arts.

Support multi-age learning benefits through collaboration with fellow educators.

Teach additional courses based on qualifications and expertise (history, Christian studies, electives).

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree.

Education degree or willingness to pursue additional training.

Passion for teaching Middle/High School English, history, and/or Christian studies.

Commitment to sharing and living out Christian faith.

Assets (Preferred):

Previous experience working with middle/high school students.

Team teaching experience. (Be sure to highlight these assets in your application!)

Salary & Benefits

Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Dependable, creative, and always up for a good time, Hudson is the kind of friend you can count on — whether he’s at the gym, cheering on football with the guys, or just enjoying good company. We believe God has been shaping him for a life of service, and it shows: this fall, Hudson heads to NBCC Miramichi to pursue the Firefighter program. Whether he’s out on the water reeling in the big one or off in the woods on a hunt, Cole finds joy in God’s creation. Easy-going and always quick with a joke, don’t let that fool you — this guy is sharp as they come, and we believe God has gifted him with a mind built for great things. Cole is headed to UNBSJ to study Science, and we can’t wait to see how the Lord uses those gifts in the next chapter. Congrats, Cole — go get ’em! 🙌
