Senior boys’ volleyball tryouts start September 2nd, 2026 at 2:30 in the gym. That’s right, tryouts start the first day of school. Ms. Watt doesn’t waste any time. She’s got a dynasty to build and it starts on Wednesday!

It’s day 2 of the Fellowes sports camp, and with the hot, muggy weather and impending storms our volunteer staff and students have had to get creative. Handball, mini-volleyball, one-legged balance battles; you name it, they’ve done it! And it’s working because everyone is having a blast! Can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings. 😃

As the school year comes to an end, Parker Mohns says goodbye to the elementary classes he worked with all semester. Parker was a great role model for the students and exercised his leadership skills leading group sessions and engaging students with educationally rich games. Thank you Ms. Zoe Johnston at Highview Public School for inviting Parker into your class. Have a great summer everyone!

Students from Mrs. LaPorte’s and Ms. Doran’s classes headed to Ashes Family Restaurant and Arcade last week. They enjoyed a delicious lunch, challenged their friends to arcade games, foosball, air hockey, and pool, and even showed off their talents with some karaoke performances! We couldn’t have asked for a better end-of-year celebration!
A special thank you to Ashes Family Restaurant and Arcade for their incredible hospitality and for creating such a welcoming and inclusive experience for our students. We had an amazing time!

As the year winds down, it’s a good time to highlight some of the people who work behind the scenes and who help to make this ship sail smoothly. Lucie has been working in the Fellowes cafeteria for 34 years. She recently put together a collage of students she has mentored along the way. Thank you Lucie for all of your hard work and years of service to our school!

Fellowes SHSM (Specialist High Skills Major) students recently took their annual farm trip. This year, students from the hospitality and tourism SHSM and the food processing SHSM visited Saint Francis Herb Farm and processing plant to learn about making medicine from plants. They also learned about the food business at the Hungry Pig Diner, and visited Fallow Field Farm, owned by a young local family. Thank you farmers for sharing your knowledge, and thank you pigs for being so welcoming and patient with our curious students.

Mrs. LaPorte’s and Ms. Doran’s classes travelled to the Opeongo Bowldrome in Renfrew on Wednesday for an afternoon of bowling. Students enjoyed some friendly competition, cheered on their classmates, and celebrated plenty of strikes and spares throughout the day. As the school year winds down, it was a great opportunity to have fun and celebrate together. Thank you to the Opeongo Bowldrome for helping make our visit a success!
