We're excited! Tomorrow is the Options Skilled Trades Fair at the Pembroke Memorial Centre. Join us between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and check out the talent of local high school students as they compete in competitions that include culinary arts, cake decorating, welding, hairstyling, team carpentry, cabinet making, small engine repair, tire changing, desk top publishing, digital photography and more. Thank you to all of the employers, judges, sponsors, educators and students who make this event so great!

What is OYAP

Today introduced new measures to make it easier for more people to go into the skilled trades.

This includes creating a new stream to the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program, launching a new online job-matching portal and making it easier for second-career workers to register for skilled trades training.
