We are hiring in Pemberton for a before and after school childcare worker for children aged 6-11 starting September 1st. This could be a position for either just before school care or just after, or both. It is a STEAM based program (Science/technology/engineering/arts/mathematics) with the focus being on FUN! There is also potential to make it a full time position by adding an hour of forest school for preschoolers daily. There is flexibility in the structuring of the position for the right applicant. We are seeking a qualified early childhood educator for our new Active Learning Center in Pemberton. We are seeking a PASSIONATE EDUCATOR who believes in rich experiential curriculum led learning, positive guidance, and who LOVES creating Reggio inspired provocations/invitations for our students! You will have PAID PREP TIME daily, and a balanced schedule!
It is a teaching team of 2 (with the co-owner in the role of ECEA) with a maximum enrolment of 16 children to start and growing to a maximum of 23. We aim to create a peaceful, intentional program filled with wonder and curiosity.
We LOVE loose parts play and recycle art, we believe in the process, not the product and support a hands-on learning philosophy. We draw inspiration from Reggio Emilia for the classroom as the third teacher, Montessori for practical life skills, and support wonder-based learning and the curiosity approach to implement our theme based curriculum.
Our outdoor space is growing to be open-ended and full of possibilities for exploration and hands-on learning and and we welcome an educator who loves to create outdoor invitations for exploration. There will be ample outdoor playtime daily rain or shine or snow, so must be comfortable outdoors and love being creative with loose parts and creating open-ended provocations for the children.
• Our literacy program is focused on the Jolly Phonics Program and providing a literacy rich environment. We hope to have the classroom grow to represent and honour the children in our care through documentation and creating new opportunities to explore their areas of interest.
• We seek someone who is not afraid to get paint and dirt under their nails through process-based art, gardening, keeping an uncluttered and organized environment and play!
• We love a can-do, positive attitude, and hope to find a team member that will feel a part of the school and stay long-term.
• Our organization is female owned with the backing and experience of 23 years of running private preschools in Japan. Our team firmly believes in supporting our teachers to grow and become the very best teachers that they can be.
Package:
• Starting wage of 27$/hour (with the possibility of going to 29$/hr in September with government wage subsidies)

We are hiring in Pemberton for a camp leader for children aged 6-11 starting June 28th-August 27th. It is a STEAM based camp (Science/technology/engineering/arts/mathematics) with the focus being on FUN! Each day the children will have fun choosing from engaging activities such as junk art in the makerspace, steam challenges such as engineering the tallest tower out of spaghetti and marshmallows, social-emotional learning activities such as navigating their blindfolded partner through a maze, and daily outdoor nature excursions and fun and games. The position could transition into a permanent position for our before and after school club or for our after school club and an hour of forest school for preschoolers daily from September. The hourly pay is $20/hour and the camp is for 6 hours and the working hours are 7 for the camp leader. We are looking for experienced candidates with the ability to be self-motivated. I am so overjoyed to share that I will be collaborating with Sarah Wade, Founder of Humanitas charity, and The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson’s charitable organization Sarah’s Trust to bring ABC Virtual Preschool to an orphanage, preschool, and primary school in Ghana! My primary vision for ABCVP was to be able to bring joyful, quality early childhood education to children globally, and this fills my heart so much!

Children have the right to an education. Primary education must be free and different forms of secondary education must be available to every child.

I am looking for an editor very experienced in Premiere Pro to edit some children's video lessons. Each lesson is 45 minutes long and we have a pp template for things to be inserted into . It takes under an hour per episode and I pay 30$/episode. I need quite a fast turnaround on episodes and immediate start.
