Today was the last ice time for the Hockey Canada Skills Academy at PSHS this semester. Mr. Wheaton and the hockey class would like to thank the staff at the Town of Parry Sound and Seguin Township for their help and hard work enabling us to use the Bobby Orr Community Centre and Humphrey Arena throughout the school year!

Special thank you to Mr. Cameron for his idea for the Harvest Share ATV Food Drive, and Mr. Cameron and Mr. Wigney for their idea to duct tape the Principal to the wall in the event students raised more that 1000 items... and there were over 1100 items raised for Harvest Share!
And colour me surprised when I returned from the Pow Wow to find tires in my office chairs with the signs, "I'm so TIRED" on them!

The annual year end Athletic Awards evening was held on May 26th.
Students and staff squared off in a fun game of volleyball then enjoyed some pizza (thank you Domino’s Parry Sound for your generous support!), and cake (thanks Sobey’s!)
Athletes were recognized by coaches for their contributions to their teams not only for their athletic ability but also for their team spirit and great sportsmanship.
Student-athletes were also recognized for their long-term contributions to sport and the school over their entire high school career.
Thank you to every Panther athlete for representing Parry Sound High School so well this year!

Over the past few weeks the students in Mr. Wheaton’s Hockey Canada Skills Academy class have taken on leadership roles, planning and implementing drills for on-ice sessions. To date the students are doing a great job demonstrating what they have learned this semester and put it into action at the rink!
