The Students and Staff of the PSHS 2027 Vimy Ridge Trip are offering ‘Lest We Forget’ Lawn Signs for sale to the community between Oct. 1st and 19th. For just $16, you can purchase a custom-made lawn sign to honour a veteran of your choice (relative, friend, etc.).

This project is not a fundraiser, but rather an effort by our students to spread REMEMBRANCE in our community. Purchasers are asked to display their signs every year from Nov. 1st to 15th. Only 50 signs will be available this year, so order yours today! The QR code on the poster will take you to the high school website where you can purchase a lawn sign online.

Let’s show how much our community appreciates the sacrifices of our veterans!

We are so appreciative of the Orange Shirt Day assembly that our students organized for us yesterday. Thank you to Oshkishokode - Miigwech!

PSHS grades 7-12 participated in a variety of activities to honour Orange Shirt day this week.
Monday they painted and decorated river rocks which were kindly donated by Hall Construction.
The orange rocks are lining the entrance way to the school for staff and students to reflect on their path to awareness and education in reconciliation.

PSHS Staff and students have been continuing their ongoing learning on honouring and living on Robinson Huron treaty territory.

Parry Sound Friendship Centre donated a beautiful cultural lunch for students sharing their teachings through food and connection. Many thanks to them for nurturing our students in such a delicious way.

PSHS had staff and students signing a flag to remind others and ourselves of our commitment to learning and strengthening our shared responsibility towards truth and reconciliation.

Turkeys for Tummies has been providing Thanksgiving dinners to families in the Parry Sound area for 11 years now. This year, close to 125 families have registered to pick up their Thanksgiving hamper on October 9th, but they are still looking for a few specific items. Parry Sound High School and Francis Pegahmagabow Elementary are teaming up to run a food drive from September 21st until October 2nd! Items needed include: gravy, turkey stuffing and canned vegetables of any sort. Students are encouraged to donate whatever they can to support this food initiative! Donations can be dropped off in the lobby of the school 🦃🍁🥫
