Is your child entering grade 9 this year? In the next couple of weeks, I'm sure there will be a flood of emotions; excitement, fear, anxiety just to name a few. And as parents you may also be unsure how the high school system works and what the expectations will be. For example it will be up to your child to email their teach, not you, if they need an extension on an assignment. It's a different world; high school vs elementary school.

These aren’t traits you’re simply born with—they’re skills that can be learned, practiced, and strengthened over time.
As parents, educators, and mentors, one of the greatest gifts we can give young people isn’t all the answers. It’s helping them build the skills they’ll rely on for the rest of their lives.
Every young person has the potential to succeed. Sometimes they just need someone to help them discover what’s already within them.
